What subjects do you offer tutoring in? +
We provide tutoring, test prep, and homework support in elementary math, middle school math, Algebra 1, and Geometry. See the full subjects breakdown.
Do you offer other subjects? +
Not at the moment, but we hope to offer more subjects and tutors in the future if there's enough demand.
Who can enroll in sessions? +
Sessions are currently available for women and girls of all ages, and for boys up to age 10.
How long is each session, and how do I know which to pick? +
Sessions are booked using credits — ½ credit for a 25-minute session, 1 credit for a 50-minute session. Choose 25 minutes for quick homework help or focused review, and 50 minutes for full lessons, test prep, or deeper coaching.
Scheduling & Technology
How do I schedule a session? +
Booking is simple — reserve a 50-minute session or a 25-minute session online. You'll get a confirmation email right away — your dedicated Zoom link is created manually, so be on the lookout for it shortly after.
How do I join my sessions? +
Your dedicated Zoom link is created manually rather than sent instantly, so keep an eye on your inbox in the time leading up to your first session. The same link is reused for every session after that.
What technology do I need? +
All lessons run through Zoom using screen sharing only — no camera required or used. A laptop or desktop works fine; an external writing tablet or stylus is optional for easier annotation.
What is your cancellation policy? +
Sessions can be canceled or rescheduled up to 12 hours beforehand with no penalty. After that window, the session is nonrefundable and the credit is deducted.
What happens if I'm late to a session? +
A 10-minute grace period is built in. If the student doesn't join within 10 minutes of the start time, the session is canceled and the credit is forfeited.
Session Credits & Payment
How do session credits work? +
Credits can be purchased individually or through a recurring subscription. They're valid for 3 months and redeemable in ½ or full increments. Full details are on the Payments & Scheduling page.
What happens if I don't use all my credits? +
Unused credits expire after 3 months and are nonrefundable.
Are credits refundable? +
No, credits are nonrefundable. If you're unsure about your long-term needs, start with a smaller single purchase instead of a subscription.
How do I manage my subscription? +
You can update, pause, or cancel your subscription anytime through your account management page. Credits already purchased remain nonrefundable and valid until they expire.
What's included besides the tutoring sessions? +
Every student gets a personal Student Dashboard tracking credit balance, lesson summaries, extra resources, and progress notes — updated regularly so parents can stay connected between sessions.
Trust & Safety
What safety measures are in place? +
Your tutor holds current IVP (Identity Verified Prints) Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance — the highest standard of background screening issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, cross-checked against both state and federal criminal databases. It's specifically required for professionals working with children and other vulnerable populations.
How do I know I can trust the tutoring environment? +
